Trek have released details to UK dealers on 2 new 29ers that are coming to their range.
Official launch is next week, but we can confirm the new bikes are 29inch wheeled versions of the Fuel EX and Remedy trail bikes! Better still we hope to have the Fuel in-stock in the Tweed Valley this weekend in time for the start of the TweedLove Festival!
First up is the Fuel EX. Available in 3 alloy and 2 carbon framed options, the Fuel EX has 120mm suspension travel, and is designed to be a great all rounder capable of turning it's hand to just about any type of riding. From all day epics to trail centre blasts and maybe a bit of XC racing the Fuel will be able to handle just about everything. Familiar Trek technologies are all present such as the brilliant DRCV rear shock, ABP suspension system and E2 tapered headtube. The bike also gets internal "stealth" routing for dropper seatposts, and ISCG mounts for a chainguide.
Pricing for the Fuel EX is as follows:
The Remedy is for those that want to attack rougher, rockier and more technical trails. It has 140mm suspension travel. Suspension design is similar to the Fuel EX and again the bike has ISCG chainguide mounts and internal "stealth" routing for a dropper seatpost.
Currently the new Remedy is available in 2 alloy framed versions. No carbon version has yet been confirmed, but we suspect it may only be a matter of time?!
Pricing for the Remedy is:
- Remedy 8: £2800
- Remedy 9: £3800
Alloy Fuel EX's available from this weekend, with most of the other bikes being available in mid June. We are taking pre-orders for the new bikes now! Demo bikes will follow shortly too so as you can test out the new bikes for yourself.
